DAPHNE acts as
the main coordinator of this project. Daphne has already had experience
in dealing with the SAPARD Programme and agri-environmental schemes,
which is very relevant and important to this project. In addition to
this, they have much scientific expertise especially in wetland restoration
and also extensive experiences with environmental education programmes
for school children.
This organization
is now the National Focal Point of the Danube Environmental Forum (DEF)
for Bulgaria. They are especially strong in areas of campaigning for
awareness-raising, public mobilisation and in communication with different
groups involved in or relevant to environmental issues.
They will bring certain strengths to this project including the very important skill of getting media attention, knowing how to well work with it and finally how to achieve an overall mobilisation of efforts for a specific case.
